If you are searching for a whiteboard, this is an honest review. There are people who are putting misinformation in their reviews of this item, so I would like to correct them and give a real, informed review. The whiteboard I have is 72" x 36" (6ft. x 3 ft.); it rolls smoothly on carpet (the only surface on which I've had it) because it has quality, locking, rubber wheels instead of plastic ones. It flips smoothly and with little effort. Assembly was straightforward and easy; follow the instructions and look at the images. Being that mine is six feet wide, I got my wife to help, and I do recommend having an extra set of hands for a board this size. There is no ghosting from previous writing, and the package comes with, among other things, an eraser that's magnetic.Ok, here is the correction of the misinformation. Firstly, when assembling, there are two round metal supports (part i) with holes drilled in them. These control the degree to which the board rotates. Before installing them, hold both in your hand and orient them the same way. If this step is skipped and they are installed out of sync, the holes will not align when rotating the board. Secondly, a desired height should be selected before assembling the cross support. If the cross bar is set to the lowest level, the board will be able to move up and down, but it will have to use the round, metal supports to hold it's position. Doing it this way, the board will not be able to be perfectly vertical due to the orientation of the holes on the support, but it gives the option to adjust the height. Thirdly, and speaking of the round supports, they are meant to hold the board at a position when it is NOT VERTICAL! Many people were saying that the holes don't align for the board to be vertical; THE ROUND, METAL SUPPROTS DO NOT ORIENT THE BOARD VERTICALLY. On the cross bar mentioned earlier, there is a "flipper" into which the board locks when the user wants the board straight up and down (vertical). This is the reason I said earlier that if the lowest position is selected, the board will not be perfectly upright. Let me say it again, the flipper holds the board vertically; the round supports are for when an angle is desired. Other reviewers did not understand this and left reviews saying the board was defective or unusable; that's ignorance. Lastly, and this is more of a tip than correction, the eraser is magnetic and will stick to the board. I write a lot with the board floating (not in the round supports or the flipper), and if the eraser is put at the bottom of the board, the board will not rotate; it will be neutrally buoyant and stay where left. If the eraser is off or placed higher on the board, AND the board is not in the flipper or supports, gravity will win and it will tilt.To conclude, don't let the misinformation in other reviews affect your decision about buying this board. I've had it for three months and have no complaints. For the record, I am neither affiliated with the company, nor have I been compensated. When we got the package, I thought that was it. My item was destroyed. The package was damaged, and it looked as if it got wet and then dried. I didn't open the package until after I contacted the seller. I showed proof of package damage. They wanted more pics of item and said that it was Amazon shipping that handled that part. When my husband opened the package and assembled the board, it was really nice. I was happy there was not cosmetic damage to the item itself. So far, so good.Pros:* The locks for the wheels keep it from moving around when you are writing on it.* It's really a nice size of board.* The flip feature is great so that I can use either side for something completely different. I was actually sick with a bad sinus infection when I got this, so I used one side to write the meds I was using and the times I took it. Especially when I had to use the antibiotics for 10 days. On the other side, I wrote down things I needed to get done like bills, chores etc.Cons:*For me, I would have preferred to have the part to put the marker on top rather than the bottom. I am short and we have a kitten that gets into everything and she tries to take everything down she can get her paws on.* The included marker doesn't work good on it, but if you have other dry erase markers, they do better.* The eraser doesn't wipe too clean. At least that's what the one I received does.Tip:* The best eraser for me was using a wet wipe. It cleaned the board and left not markings showing through like what the eraser did. I have used Mr. Clean eraser, but it's expensive and the wipe did a better job.Hey all,I marked this as a 4/5, because I assume you are like me and don't read 5 star or 1 star reviews. The truth is always in the middle. But honestly, it's 5/5 for what you are paying -- just between you and me. Shhh. :)It is a rare thing for me to rush to give a review on a product on Amazon. I just put my whiteboard together and gave it a test. It works flawlessly. But that's not why I rushed here to review it. I rushed here to review it because the experience of putting it together, and unboxing it was unusual for most products that I purchased. It is one of those experiences that kind of keeps surprising you as you work your way through it. It's definitely not like unboxing a new iPhone, it's rougher than that -- more genuine -- like a independent labor of love. Like, I said... rare.So first surprise. The packaging on this thing is beyond extra. There is tape covering and holding all the parts in place in the box, and it's a major puzzle to figure out how exactly to get the damn thing out. The good part of this is ZERO damage (and honestly I don't see how that could ever happen with how much of a fortress this is, but I digress). The bad part of this is it's a bit like breaking into Fort Knox. Then your first surprise gently wafts its way to the floor. A gift? For me? Wow. I don't want to spoil exactly what you are getting so I'm going to stop there, but its definitely not something that I was expecting. I bought a whiteboard, I got more than that. Then it's time to organize the screws. Oooh, what's this white box? You slowly open it, and yet again ANOTHER GIFT. And even better.... it's something you probably need but forgot about. Very useful for meetings. Attached to it is a heartfelt letter. "Thank you for giving us a chance. Enjoy this small token of our appreciation." -- And this gift is something I've easily seen for $10+ elsewhere. It's not a small a token. It's substantial.I never would have expected this experience. Now, it's clearly a Chinese product. The English isn't quite right, the instructions can be a bit confusing (the steel holes point outward, not inward). But damn it, they tried. They put their heart and soul into making this as special as they could. That means something to me. It's so rare to see it these days. Genuine care and appreciation for your customers and for your customer experience. It's there. So what are the cons?First off, you are buying a budget whiteboard. This isn't some $300-$600 whiteboard you have at work. It's better than a LOT of whiteboards on Amazon, but you are buying somewhere between Walmart and Target in quality if that makes sense. It's not terrible. It's not great. It will do the job. It looks pretty. It's not perfect. That's okay. There are clearly some costs cut and some quality concerns with the hardware. I would have liked to have seen a bigger knob on the tension screws to keep the whiteboard in place when it's not directly upright. These are thumb turners. They should be palm turners. Some of the screw placements are a bit off. It's not really a problem in practice but the lack of attention to detail here is a bit annoying. The wheel plates do not match up with the thumb turner screw at all. It works, but I would have prefer it to catch on them. The markers are pretty good, but I haven't used them enough to determine just how long they will last. I suspect they aren't quite as good as Expo, or Quartet markers, but then what else is? It's good. It does the job. They write nicely. Well done. The eraser is bang on quality. It has a good weight to it and it does an exceptional job at clearing the markers of the board without leaving any streaks or residue behind. The common expo erasers are way worse then the ones provided here. Again, well done.Final verdict. If you are looking for a "good enough" whiteboard that will get the job done, and last for awhile and support what is clearly a company that cares about it's customers then you can't go wrong with this one. If you want perfect, top of the line, you might want to skip this. But come on? We're talking about a whiteboard here. You don't need a Lexus when a Honda Civic is good enough. This is a fine choice for any entrepreneur, home business, small business or DnD group. You will be happy buying this. I 100% recommend it and I will be buying another one when the time is right.Arrived fairly quickly. Was incredibly impressed with the packaging. Not a dent to be seen on the whiteboard, even though the box had a hole in it. Husband is very happy with it. Great quality. It even came with a magnetic timer as a thank you gift. We are considering buying another! Well worth the money. The board is fine but it came dented on the frame that the white board sits in and also the long piece that holds the markers. I'm returning it. So annoying that I have to ship it back and buy it again. Not sure if I'll buy this one again. I will look for another with stronger reviews.
